Quick question, you said the Battle Peleliu began on September 15, 1944. That part is correct, but I was wondering why you stated it was the morning of D-Day when D-Day happened on June 6th. Just wanted to know if I was misunderstanding something?

As a former Marine, I'd love to visit Peleliu but probably won't be able to. Thank you for doing this video to show us what it's like there now.

This is such a wonderful video. It’s unfortunate that the Pacific theater lives in the shadows of the war in Europe. Many battles and many more men did not receive credit for the sacrifices that they made.

When I was reading his book for the first time when I was 16 i had to put the book down and take some deep breathes. That quote has stuck with me my whole life and helps me be grateful for those who came before me and helped ensure I don't have to live through the horror of war.
